UPM Seaways is looking again summer trainees for next summer. Summer trainees will be placed for different teams such as Logistics Invoicing, Break Bulk Services and Container Services. Last summer we received totally 1085 summer job applications and thirteen of all applicants were employed in different kind of assignments. The qualities that UPM Seaways looks for when selecting employees are openness and initiative when learning new things, a readiness to change, good English skills and positive attitude. |

Especially for students who studies logistics we offer internships and thesis work. In UPM Seaways we have many success stories and some of them have started as interns and continued their working career here with a great enthusiastic.
One of our success stories is Ms Terhi Nurmivaara who started in UPM Seaways doing her internship in 2008 as a summer trainee. Then she continued her UPM career the next summer and has worked here since then. She has done her thesis work “Sea Carrier’s Potential for Business Development” and graduated in Bachelor’s degree in Logistics from
Kymenlaakso University of Applied Sciences. “I’ve been lucky that I have been given a change to work here since I’ve started and before I graduated it was easy to match school and work together”, she says.
